Ring in the Holidays with a December Full of Events with Flora-Bama
PERDIDO KEY, FL — The iconic Flora-Bama Lounge & Package is gearing up for a festive December packed with beachside fun, holiday spirit, community giving, and unforgettable celebrations. Located right on the Alabama-Florida state line, Flora-Bama has planned events for every age and interest, culminating in its famous New Year's Eve Bash.
The holiday cheer kicks off with the annual Santa Drop on Saturday, December 6th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prepare to be amazed as Santa ditches the sleigh for a parachute, landing right on the beach behind Flora-Bama! This beloved event is a fundraiser for Toys for Tots, is free to attend, and attendees who bring an unwrapped toy will receive a free drink card. Festivities include arts and crafts, live music, face painting, sweet treats, and pictures with Santa.
Following Santa Drop, join in for a lively watch party on the big screen in the Main Room at Flora-Bama as Army takes Navy on Saturday, December 13th at 2 p.m. Bring your team spirit and enjoy food and drinks provided by Flora-Bama. The camaraderie for this game is something you’ll want to be a part of as the Army fans taunt Navy and each side cheers on their team.
Looking for a place to enjoy a Christmas meal? Flora-Bama is open with live music and a Christmas potluck on Christmas day. Flora-Bama provides the main dish and encourages anyone coming to participate to bring a covered side dish or dessert. Food is served at 1 p.m. and all ages are welcome.
Next, shake off those holiday calories on Saturday, December 27th with our Make it to the Line 4 Mile Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run. The first 300 participants will receive a race t-shirt. Races begin and end at Flora-Bama with an after party to include awards, food buffet, beverages and live music. A portion of the proceeds from this race will benefit the Secret Santa program, helping local families in need with gifts at Christmas, clothing, food and more. Finally, ring in the new year on the line with three different options. Flora-Bama offers multiple ways to celebrate as 2025 comes to a close. Flora-Bama’s New Year’s Eve Bash is the premier party on the Gulf Coast. Don’t forget to come dive into the new year at Flora-Bama’s Polar Bear Dip on New Year’s Day. Thousands gather on the beach behind Flora-Bama to plunge into a new year right at high noon. This event is free and open to all ages. Anyone who plunges into the water receives a free drink and plate of food with all the new year fixings like ham, black eyed peas and collard greens.
